Our History
Established in 1979 under the name of Lau & Co by Tan Sri Dato’ Lau Yin Pin JP in Kuala Terengganu, LWT & CO has a rich heritage rooted in a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client satisfaction. From humble beginnings, our firm has evolved and grown, expanding its footprint to include branches in Kuantan and later in Kota Bharu.
In 1992, leadership transitioned to Mr. Lou Yin Teng and Mr. Wong Seng Chong, who continued the firm’s legacy of providing high-quality services under the name of Lau, Wong & Yeo. Since then, we have proudly served thousands of clients across various fields of commerce and industries with audit, taxation, and advisory solutions.
In our relentless pursuit of excellence and sustained growth, we welcomed Ms. Tan Siok Lian as an additional partner in the year 2023. This significant development marked a new chapter in our journey, leading to the renaming of our esteemed firm to LWT & CO.

Michael Lou Yin Teng
HQ - Managing Partner
Michael Lou Yin Teng is an esteemed financial professional with over 40 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and strategic management. As a Chartered Accountant granted by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), an approved Auditor under the Malaysia Law and a licensed Tax Agent under Section 153 of the Income tax Act 1967. Michael brings a wealth of expertise to his role. He is a Partner of this audit firm since 1992. He is also a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA). This further highlights his proficiency in financial, management accounting and corporate planning principles. Michael is not only known for his professional achievements but also for being a man of principle, demonstrating integrity and dedication in all endeavors. With a commitment to excellence and ongoing professional development, Michael is a trusted leader in the financial and service industry, dedicated to delivering value added results for clients.
Wong Seng Chong
Kuantan - Partner
Mr. Wong Seng Chong hails from a most humble background. While serving in The Inland Revenue Board formerly known as (Inland Revenue Department), he pursued self-studies and passed all the Departmental Examinations, including the Advanced Course in Taxation and Accounts. Additionally, through self-study, he became a member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and graduated in law from The University of London. He left The Inland Revenue Board in 1979 and commenced his accountancy career as a practicing accountant, which continues to this day.
Mr. Wong is a chartered accountant, a member of The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (CA (M)), a Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, UK), a member of The Singapore Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA), and a Fellow of The Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (FCTIM). Mr. Wong served as the East Coast Branch chairman of CTIM for 24 years and is currently a member of the Tax Audit & Investigation working group under the umbrella of CTIM.
He is an approved auditor and tax agent under Section 153 of The Income Tax Act, 1967. Until recent years, he was also a licensed liquidator. He has served as an internal auditor for several listed companies.
Mr. Wong is a prominent accountant with more than 50 years of working experience and his services are well sought after. Since 1990, he has been a partner in the audit firm.
Tan Siok Lian
Kota Bharu - Partner
Ms. Tan Siok Lian, FCCA, CA(M) MBA, is a dedicated auditing professional, awarded as a Chartered Accountant by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and an approved Auditor under the Malaysian Companies Act 2016. She is also a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). She has more than 25 years experience in auditing small and medium business enterprises. Equipped with Master in Business Administration, she also brings extensive knowledge in taxation, financial, and management accounting practices. Ms. Tan’s commitment to excellence and continuous professional development has earned her recognition as a trusted consultant in business and commerce, valued for her integrity and steadfast dedication to client satisfaction.
